IPCI Structure
The organisation is registered as a charity based and founded in Ireland. There are four company directors Cathy Barrett, Alison, MaGuinness, Claire Dowling and Margaret Moran. Mr Chris Walshe , Accountant of Walshe & Co Accountants acts as company Secretary.
The Board of Directors function is to provide governance of the activities of the organisation. Due to the size of the organisation there are the functional offices of Chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary, Educational Lead and Research & Development Lead. It is a prerequisite that the officers are working within the Infection Prevention & Control specialty and these posts undertaken in a volunteer capacity as there is no salary proportions to the Officers roles. The workings of IPCI are guided by a series of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) as well as by the Memorandum and Articles of Association. These are freely available on the organisations website.
As a charitable organisation IPCI is strongly committed to the advancement of education and the benefits this brings to the whole community. Through the legal structure of our organisation as well as the provision of training courses, educational materials, meetings and conferences, IPCI fulfills these requirements of the organisation’s charitable status.
