Hello Linda

I agree with Ciaran’s advice. Once PPE is worn correctly at the swabbing station and there has been no breach then there is no waiting period before going back to the clinical setting. Self-monitoring for symptoms is necessary for all HCW’s.

We have been using the standard surgical mask with visor for non-aerosol generating procedures for patients with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 but our stock is running low. We are reviewing reusable goggles & was wondering how are people managing these?

The national ambulance service set up the first of the swabbing centres and also the home swabbing which we’ve been doing for several weeks now. A quick query, how many days do staff working in swabbing centres in the community have to wait before they can safely return to different clinical duties?

Management thought the staff must have left the swabbing centre for 7 days before returning to other clinical duties?
