Can you please give me your thoughts on non alcohol hand sanitzers, I have very little input on procurement and someone is pushing for these. The company is called Crystal Clear. Does anyone use non alcohol sanitzers?? Bearing in mind we are a community based organisation – not an acute hospital

Hi All,
we expect to have a new 50 bed unit in the near future and are currently looking at design. I noticed on the plans that there is a danni bin (PPE supplies) inside the patients room.According to the NHS “Infection Control in the Built environment” “gloves and aprons should be sited outside single rooms” so they won’t become contaminated.…[Read more] -

Hi Everyone,
I would appreciate it if you could let me know what protocols are put in place when the bedpan washer disinfector is out of action and awaiting repair.
Disposable bedpan/urinals are an option but the issue of disposal of human waste creates further problems. Manual sluicing is not recommended so are hospitals using gelling agents…[Read more] -
