Dear All,
I hope you are all well everyone. Was just wondering about the following.
The wearing of masks is causing many questions within community services.

Hello Everyone,
Would anyone have any feedback on air purifiers/purification devices which use UV light and PCO Technology.
It is advertised as an odour remover, and capable of killing bacteria in the air and on hard surfaces.
Are these devices in use in healthcare settings?
Any comments /thoughts would be appreciated.

Hello all,
I have had a query regarding desks used in Primary healthcare settings.
Is vinyl better than veneer or is anything else out there???
Does it matter if it is impervious to fluids, easy to clean and disinfect and has not fissures or
unsealed joints.
Any and all advice is appreciated.

Hi All,
Just wondering what your opinion is on the use of patients own creams for treating leg ulcers in primary care.
a should the patients bring the creams in and out of clinics?
b. should the creams be stored in the clinics and if so how?
Many thanks in advance for you thoughts

@mags-moran .
Hello Mags
regarding your query on double dipping I am unaware of any changes to the National Cleaning Manual (2006). I had a look at it and the NPSA(2009) Cleaning manual again both mention mop buckets and wringers.
In hps (2009) they talk about changing mop water every 15minutes or when you change location.
There is a new review…[Read more] -

Dear all
Is there any difference in the advice given in order to clean up a large blood spillage or a small blood spots or drops on difficult to clean areas ie that a dilution of 10,000 ppm of a sodium hypochlorite is required. Some of the guidance is confusing. In some guidance I have read it suggests that 1,000 ppm is sufficient on small areas.…[Read more]
