IPCN=nurse with specialized training in infection control/hospital hygiene and usually responsible for infection control/hospital hygiene tasks such as…[Read more] -

Dear All, just wondered does anyone have a guideline in relation to frequency of updating patient notes. Where do you record your note on the patient and how often do you update it?
Thank you Judith

Dear colleagues,
There has not been any further cases of LRVRE in St. Vincent’s University Hospital. Molecular typing showed no evidence of transmission within the ICU. The outbreak is deemed over.

Hi everyone
We are refurbishing some of our houses and I was wondering if any one has come across toilets that are more robust than the standard ceramic domestic ones available, we have one stainless steel toilet in a particular house but HIQA have “suggested” we should change it for a one that is more domestic looking. But our service users keep…[Read more] -

Some of the guidance is confusing. In some guidance I have read it suggests that 1,000 ppm is sufficient on small areas.…[Read more] -

Can you please give me your thoughts on non alcohol hand sanitzers, I have very little input on procurement and someone is pushing for these. The company is called Crystal Clear. Does anyone use non alcohol sanitzers?? Bearing in mind we are a community based organisation – not an acute hospital
