As many of you may be aware, OLOL in Drogheda has an implanted proactive and reactive Hydrogen Peroxide vapor (HPV) service that is used for environmental  decontamination.

It is mostly used reactively for CDI and CPE and proactively for sluices, toilets, high risk areas and other areas of concern identified by IPC.

I’m looking for some advice as follows:

Suction tubing at the patient’s bedside – should they be assembled ready for use or should they only have the canister in the holder with the tubing and yanker packaged nearby and only assembled if it is then needed?

Does anyone use sporicidal wipes for commode cleaning in your facility? If yes then have you come across health and safety issues during the procurement stage and while cleaning with sporicidal wipes what PPE staff use?
